Sweetie & Priscilla, Fluffy Cuties Up For Adoption in the San Diego Area: No more adorable twosome of small breed dogs will you ever meet. Sweetie is a Bichi-Poo, (Bichon Frise/Poodle) and Priscilla is a Toy Poodle Mix. These bonded female doggies are incredibly affectionate and well behaved. They are wonderful companions, suitable for a home with children, seniors, a couple or single dog lover. These lovely ladies are being rehomed by their owner. They are very deeply loved, however a move across the country in the near future, and a dramatic change in circumstances have made finding Sweetie and Priscilla a new home necessary.
Sweetie and Priscilla are both very healthy and well behaved. Both are perfectly house trained. They thrive on attention, love and companionship ? and give back much more than they receive. Sweetie is 7 years old (young for a Bichon!) and Priscilla is just 5. They weigh less than 20 pounds. They both love to cuddle, relax in the sunshine, go for walks, and play with toys.
Their owner has offered to provide their new family with 3 months of veterinary care and pet sitting services. She would love to stay in touch her beloved dogs, and hopes to offer her friendship and gratitude to a loving adoptive family willing to open their hearts and homes to this pair of very deserving dogs.

Sweetie?s Personality: Sweetie is a gentle soul. The most mild temperament I have ever seen in a dog. She loves to sit in the sun, run on the beach, and is a great listener. A perfect buddy with a calming demeanor.
About Priscilla's Personality: I have another pet named Priscilla. Same temperament. But she is more poodle like. Sweetie and her are very close. I adopted her after she was found on an abandoned farm with several wild cats and dogs. She has many cat like mannerisms its sort of funny. She is a cuddler, and listens well. Her and Sweetie are very much alike.
Sweetie & Priscilla?s Current Home Environment: My home environment is calm as I work from home and my son is now in college.
Sweetie & Priscilla?s Current Family: My Son is away at College in London this year. I work from home. I also have another dog named Priscilla that I would like to rehome with Sweetie as they have been together now for over 5 years.
Sweetie & Priscilla?s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities? Sweetie doesn?t play with toys anymore, but enjoys her chewsticks or biscuits treats. I usually cook for her rice, chicken, liver, quinoa, etc. and always add a bit of cottage cheese on top, or grated cheese as that is her favorite thing. Sweetie loves to sunbathe, and lapsit. As long as her stomach is getting rubbed she is like puddy. She also enjoys the dog beach and is a fantastic runner. Very fast. She does not have one aggressive bone in her body.
Cute Sweetie & Priscilla Story: Before Sweetie came to me she was found behind her former owners home by a neighbor after being viciously attacked by two coyotes. She was only 6 months old and was taken to the Vet Hospital for care. She was in intensive care for over a month with a punctured lung, tail gone, many injuries. The doctors worked tirelessly to save her and she survived. When the owner came to pick her up, they gave him the bill and he refused to pay and told them to euthanize her instead. The doctors and nurses refused and asked him to give up his rights to dog and she was placed in foster care. I saw her listed on an adoption site, her picture was horrific. I remember saying to my Son that she looked like Frankenpuppy. Turns out a week later, I took my Son to an adoption event at Petsmart and he was looking at a young german shepherd puppy and I was sitting on the floor and along comes this 11 pound little cotton ball, with horrible stitches, covered in fleas..and she just layed in my lap and I recognized her as the frankenpuppy. From that point on, she was ours. I took her home, and gave her a bath and she laid down in the tub and fell asleep as I washed her. I named her Sweetie because she was so easy going and gentle. She had been through it and was happy to be home. That personality trait about her has never changed. Sweetie is a really remarkable girl.
Why are Sweetie & Priscilla Being Rehomed? I don?t think it is going to be in her best interest to transport her all the way across the country.I am moving to Pennsylvania She is 7 years old. The weather change, the transport stress, the fact that my home is kind of in the forest and not fenced in and the fact that I will not be home all the time like I am now are the reasons. It will be gutwrenching, but better for Sweetie if she is around young kids or an active family or person. She has so much left to do, and she is a total West Coast girl.
Sweetie & Priscilla?s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be: Sweetie is a natural anywhere really. She enjoys calm and she loves adventure. A family with young children would be great or even another dog as she really gets along with everyone human or animal. She doesn? t dislike cats but she does like to chase and play with them. It would be great to get them homed together, but if it can?t be done, I think they will be fine on their own as long as they are similar type homes. If a new home is found for them in San Diego I am willing to offer 3 months of vet care, grooming and/or petsitting for them if new owners need. I have established really good care for them here and I think it would be in their best interest to keep that stable if it is possible.
