Alfie is a neutered, housebroken, white Pekingese puppy born around September of xxxx. He was hit by a car and our vet was unable to save his tail which was amputated. He also had a broken leg. He has recovered and is a happy boy who loves to play with other dogs. For this reason, we would like to place him in a home with another young, playful dog. However, not all dogs appreciate his playfulness so this would need to be evaluated on a case by case basis. He is not yet allowed full run of his foster home as she wants to make sure his leg is totally healed and strong. He can be a little timid in new situations. He loves to lay sprawled out with all four lets completely extended. We suggest a home with children over the age of 10 for this dog. This dog cannot be adopted out of state. Please see our home page for a list of our Saturday adoption sites. Every potential adopter is required to fill out an adoption application and the dog is placed in the home that would be most suitable for the dog. We do not place our dogs in homes with unfenced swimming pools. Generally we don't release the dogs at the adoption site that day except on occasion to former adopters.
